Gabriel García Marquez, a writer with style

Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born in 1928 in Aracataca-Colombia. He grew up with his maternal grand parent and his nickname was Gabito. He was a shy and quite boy. He was sent a school in Barranquilla. He began his career as a journalist for many newspaper in South American. Also he studied law and journalism in the National University of Colombia in Bogota and the University of Cartagena.

Gabriel García Marquez began to write short stories before to did his master piece. He has writing in Spanisn and English books.
The main works are: La hojarasca, El Coronel no tiene quien le escriba, Los funerales de Mama Grande, cien años de soledad, El amor en tiempos de colera and other more.
He was awarded the Nobel Price in 1982 for his work 'Cien años de soledad'.

I like this writter because when I was a child I preffered more to watch TV, play in the computer than I read a book. Until I read a book from this writter and I began to love to read books.

Hi Pao,

Your article is very good, it is interesting. There are just a couple of mistakes, check:
...with his maternal grand father... He was sent to school... for many newspapers in South America... began to write short stories before he did his master piece. He has written books in Spanish and English... tiempos de colera and many others... He was awarded with the Nobel Price...

Thanks,
